GLEN ECHO MAISON

In San Jose's prime neighborhood of Willow Glen sits the Glen Echo Maison, a complete remodel of a small mid-century modern rancher into a 2-story French country chateau. The kitchen and dining room were Atelier Julienne's area of focus, led by the need to feed a family of nine. The kitchen is as functional as can be with two wood islands, one with plenty of room for stools, and one designed for food prep. The refrigerator and freezer flank a beautiful wood display cabinet. The range is housed in a marble surround underneath a grand plaster hood. The sink is surrounded by five tall gridded windows and handmade ceramic tile to add the authentic French look. The dining room is our most unique to date, leaning into more of a restaurant layout with two tables and plenty of seating for visitors. Tall windows look out onto the backyard and let light flood the space. Both the kitchen and dining room are defined by classic black & white checkered floor tiles. Photos by Salt Haus Photography.
