KUSS ROAD HILLTOP RETREAT

DESIGNED & BUILT WITH RIDGECREST DESIGNS. Perched at the summit of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Park in Danville, this mid-20th century modern hillside residence came with impressive original architecture, but required a kitchen renovation that aligned with the home's design aesthetic. We removed the uninspired kitchen installed by a prior owner and tore down a partition to open the kitchen to the expansive great room. The new kitchen showcases a plaster range hood and bespoke cabinetry with elaborate beaded detailing. The vibrant blue contrasted with the deep walnut wood creates a striking visual environment. Solid steel wall cabinets were constructed to store countertop appliances, dinnerware, and glassware. The copper embellishments on the stove and faucets complete the design, bringing this stunning, unique kitchen to a flawless conclusion.
