DESIGNED & BUILT WITH RIDGECREST DESIGNS. Nestled on a scenic hillside in Sunol CA, our team designed and built a home that carries the charm of an old-world residence - in the best way possible. The homeowners brought us architectural plans but sought a builder to finesse the design and transform their vision into reality. Every detail was carefully crafted to blend classic Craftsman style with contemporary comforts. The kitchen was designed hand in hand with the client, the chef of the household cooking three meals a day for seven, who knew exactly the appliances and functionality she wanted. Using the clear instruction of the kitchen's function, we applied the Craftsman style and design principles to the cabinetry and fixtures. The pantry was kept strictly utilitarian with lots of open shelving and a commercial refrigerator for bulk storage. The legendary William Morris' wallpaper wraps the powder room, transporting its visitor to a vibrant, moody vessel. The staircase is the signature of this home - true Craftsman details were utilized in the newel posts, contrasting the new-age balusters. Floor-to-ceiling wainscot in this two-story space, painstakingly drawn for absolute symmetry, creates one of the grandest entries we've designed.
